The Slash J-45 features a solid Sitka spruce top with solid mahogany back and sides for a tone that is as full as it is complex — a punchy treble is supported by a robust midrange and a low end that run through the entire sonic presentation at just the right level. Sweet Slash-approved appointments The rounded C-shape profile of the mahogany neck features a flatter 16-inch Indian laurel fingerboard radius — all design elements overseen by Slash himself. These subtle design features translate to an ultra-smooth feel and response that make chording and lead playing a breeze. There are 20 medium-jumbo frets along the fingerboard that are easy on the fingers as well. The truss rod cover also features Slash’s engraved signature, and his famous “Skully” drawing is on the back of the headstock.
