Mousquetaire du Roy, Armagnac XO

Sourced by Marc Darroze, one of the very top names among Armagnac producers. Traditional continuous distillation in Armagnac stills ensures preservation of the traditional Armagnac aromas, however requires a longer barrel ageing period to bring out the complex and elegant bouquet. The XO is aged for at least 8 years in casks made from french oak from the local forests of Gascony and Limousin. The Bas-Armagnac vineyards are situated in the west heartland of Gascony, on fawn coloured sandy alluvial soils that produce a delicate and fruity Armagnac.
